Achel’s brewery can be seen from inside the café on-site, and is the only Trappist brewery with such easy visibility to the public. Sitting outside on the patio in the abbey courtyard on a sunny day sipping house-brewed Trappist beers paired with fine local cheeses and meats was always a great experience, as at Café In de Vrede at Westvleteren and Café Trappisten at Westmalle.
