The much-anticipated The Veil Brewing Company of Richmond, Virginia, has set its Grand Opening date as Saturday, April 16. “We will have a minimum of four different beers on draft, special glassware, limited screen printed posters, limited edition t-shirts, and more for sale. There is a slight possibility that we will also have a small amount of cans available for sale to go,” according to a statement from the brewery.
Food will be available from food trucks such as the excellent ZZQ Barbecue, as well as Stroops Heroic Dogs, which specializes in artisanal worst, sausages, waffles and more, and Boka Taco Truck.
The Veil and brewer/co-founder Matt Tarpey brewed their first batch on Friday, March 4, and Tarpey and co-founders Dustin Durrance and Dave Michelow have been working very long hours since then to prepare for the grand opening, which is sure to be a huge event for the RVA beer scene. Nearly 600 people have already confirmed their intent to attend on the brewery’s Facebook event page, here. The event will run from 11 am to 11 pm.
