Maryland Brewer’s Harvest Festival, this weekend in Fell’s Point

It’s not exactly about Belgium, but there will be a major beer festival right in my backyard this weekend here in Baltimore. The first edition of the Maryland Brewer’s Harvest Festival will be held at Bond Street Wharf in historic Fell’s Point, from 2pm to 6pm. There will be a VIP session from noon till 2pm.

This festival features 25 Maryland breweries, and over 150 different beers. Local celebrity chefs, such as Brian Voltaggio, Spike Gjerde, and numerous others will be on hand, preparing some of their signature dishes. The Choptank Sweets Oyster bar will also be on hand. This producer’s oyster bar has resulted in some of the longest lines at the SAVOR event in DC every year, so clearly it is a major draw.

In short, this is not just a beer festival, it is a beer sampling and culinary event.

There will also be food trucks on hand, offering numerous delicacies to attendees of this major celebration of Maryland beer and food, and several bands will entertain attendees throughout the day.

It’s not just breweries, either: two of Maryland’s premier cider makers, Millstone Cellars and Distillery Lane Ciderworks, will be present with some of their top ciders, with some very special ones for the VIP session.

Tickets are $35 for general admission and $65 for a VIP pass. See here for all details. You do not want to miss this!
