This place is very popular on weekends, especially in summer. I visited on a chilly Monday night in April, but nonetheless had a fine experience.
I savored a superb meal of wild boar with asparagus and croquettes on my visit, paired with a 75 cl bottle of Chimay Blue. Dessert was a plate of five different delicious Chimay cheeses: Grand Classique, Chimay à la Bière, Grand Cru, Vieux, and Mont du Secours. Yum!
There are also beef, chicken, duck, cod, mussels, shrimp, and pasta dishes on the menu….and a varied assortment of ice cream, pancakes, and other desserts!
The chef even came out and showed us a house favorite, destined for another table. A nice touch!
The three main beers of Chimay, the Premier/Rouge (Red label) the Tripel/Blanche (White label) and Grand Reserve/Bleue (Blue label) are of course all available in 33 and 75 cl bottles. The Gold (4.8% abv) is usually available as well, in 33 cl bottles. Chimay Tripel/White is offered on draft.
The retail shop offers many products for take away, including cheeses, beer, chocolate, local wines, glassware, gift sets, and a local liquer.
As if that wasn’t enough, with a small group, you can stay the night at the Ferme! There is a gite, essentially a house, on site with four bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen that can be rented. It sleeps up to eight people.
Les Ferme des Quatre Saisons is open from 10:30 am to 10 pm every day but Tuesday, when it closes. Enjoy!
