I’m happy to say that I have a 3,000 word article about Belgian lambic beer and lambic cafes in the March 2014 issue of All About Beer Magazine. I cover a basic background on the style, as well as brewing and blending methods, and 17 great cafes where you can taste superb lambic beers.
These include some of the lambic greats, like 3 Fonteinen, De Cam, De Lambiek (The Lambic Beer Visitor’s Center) as well as Herberg De Zwaan, Boelekewis, and Moeder Lambic Fontainas. And more. Many of my photos from these superb drinking establishments were published with the article (though not any of the ones shown in this post. You’ll have to get an issue to see which ones.)
All About Beer Magazine is the oldest and most respected beer magazine in the U.S., and is well known internationally as well. My first published article on the subject of beer was in the July, 2002 issue, and I’ve written about half a dozen feature articles about Belgian beer for AAB over the years. It’s a privilege to have my work showcased in the magazine once again, with the main cover feature. I credit Publisher Daniel Bradford, Editor John Holl, Managing Editor Jon Page, and Art Director Peter Johnstone for all their hard work on this issue.
All About Beer Magazine can be purchased at bookstores such as Barnes and Noble, as well as better newsstands. You can buy individual copies and subscriptions here
